A swiftly expanding, entrepreneurial investment management firm,  in London and Scotland are looking for an Asset Manager.

The Asset Management team manage over 800MW of energy assets across Europe including solar, wind, flexible power, and BESS.

Role

  • A strong dedicated team provide asset management services to the energy portfolio.
  • Expected to lead activities such as engaging with landowners, negotiating and then preparing and registering the updated land agreements (leases, options, wayleaves), including instructing and managing the necessary legal support.
  • Reporting, managing landowner networks and legal support and engaging with other disciplines such as valuation and engineering teams.
  • Travel to existing sites around the UK.

Skills and experience

  • Land / Legal / Planning Qualification (degree level as a minimum)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience, with land agreements or the renewable energy industry, and project management.
  • Working towards RICS qualification.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other relevant software to extract relevant data to support decision-making or assist in the preparation of reports and deliverables.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, able to establish effective communication channels with team members and relevant stakeholders including regulators, statutory consultees and local communities.
  • Experience of managing land agents and legal support to prepare and conclude land agreements
  • An understanding of planning and consenting processes.
  • Experience of contract preparation and managing and negotiating tender processes (including consultancy services).
  • An ability to translate technical detail into commercial impact.
  • Good time management and attention to detail, with the ability to execute tasks accurately within established timelines.
  • A goal orientated mindset, with strong negotiation skills necessary to achieve results.
