This European wind energy group is looking for a Development Planner for their UK company.
Founded in 1990’s is a subsidiary of the German parent company which develops and manages wind farms and solar parks in a number of European countries.
The group has developed over 100 wind farms across Europe in Europe and the UK, investing over €1.5 billion; creating a total capacity of over 1GW.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Planning in South of Scotland region, the right individual will be responsible for project management of the feasibility, development and planning processes for individual Wind and Solar projects.
Bringing projects from concept through the planning and project programming process is important.
This is a broad development management role, occasionally performing a pivotal role in managing difficult externally facing relationships in contentious public domain projects and public engagements.
Requirements
- Planning experience of the Scottish or English planning system – RTIP preferred.
- Project management of the rural development projects
- Knowledge of renewable energy projects
- Any negotiation of landowner and third party agreements
- Knowledge of the grid connection process
- Engaging and managing outsourced resources including EIA consultancies
- Maintaining all key relationships with third party stakeholders and organisations
- To a lesser extent working with some project financing and development budgeting
