They offer a Energy from Waste solutions in Europe and the UK and Ireland.

Their facility in the East of the UK processes residual waste and produces electricity to power over 60,000 homes.

They are looking for a Maintenance Technician – EC&I

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician – Electrical, Control & Instrumentation will be responsible for the execution of all front line electrical, control system and instrumentation maintenance activities across all of the process, building and site systems that comprise the Waste Management facilities in accordance with the operational requirements of the facility in order to drive compliance and ensure high levels of operational availability of the facility.

  • Execution of all preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance activities across the facility.
  • Execution of planned and unplanned shutdown activities.
  • Work with and support external maintenance service providers operating within the facility.
  • Identification of operational improvement projects that simplify, standardise or improve the operability, maintainability and/or compliance of the facility.
  • Ensure projects are executed to a high standard and any as-built modifications are documented.
  • Always be on the lookout for alternatives methods of executing work that make it safer, improves quality, efficiency.
  • Delivery of services within an Integrated Management System (IMS) environment where: Maintenance activities are executed in accordance with environmental objectives.
  • The maintenance working environment is a safe, healthy and energising place to deliver exceptional service.
  • Attention to details and doing things right, first time, every time.
  • All works are executed in accordance with Safe System of Work and the protection of people, plant and the environment are at the core of every activity.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • NVQ (level 3 preferred)/HNC/HND with significant experience gained in a maintenance, construction and/or engineering services environment.
  • Knowledge of Distributed Control System and PLC’s would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with Low, Medium and High Voltage switching and control equipment. Would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Continuously improving.
  • Proven maintenance experience within a complex operational environment (Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Industrial Process).
