This client is an international Materials Processing Business, working tirelessly towards the global challenge of sustainable energy.

Our client is searching for a Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for leading safety throughout the planning, management, and coordination of all maintenance activities to ensure the proper functioning of equipment, systems, and facilities.

The role involves planning, organizing, and directing maintenance activities while ensuring safety and environmental regulations compliance.

 The role will lead a supervisor and team of technicians who will work closely with the operational and other teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Line management of the maintenance supervisor alongside technicians at site.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment and facilities.
  • Oversee and prioritize maintenance tasks, repairs, and projects.
  • Schedule and supervise maintenance and repair activities to minimize disruptions.
  • Implement robust mechanisms to monitor the condition of equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate the installation of new equipment and oversee upgrades or modifications.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure cost-effective operations whilst supporting the operational The main job requirements are
  • Responsible for your own Health and Safety, for the Health and Safety of those at site.
  • Optimizing plant performance through forming an effective maintenance strategy.
  • Implement and enhance preventative maintenance practices.
  • Prepare and deliver the site maintenance budget.
  • Able to successfully manage and deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict time lines.
  • Experience in a mechanical engineering role from areas such as FMCG/ manufacturing/ waste management.
  • Effective management of contractors on site supported through the relevant documentation and safety matters.

You

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4- 5 years of maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Proficiency in maintenance software (e.g., CMMS), mechanical and electrical systems, and regulatory standards.
  • Knowledge of materials handling, conveying, and mechanical system design.
  • Expience of delivering technical solutions from design through to implementation
  • Strong team management, problem-solving mindset, delegation and decision-making abilities.
  • The ability to foster a safe and collaborative work environment
  • Work collaboratively with peers to shared objectives
  • Effective communication skills throughout the organisation.
