Maintenance Team Leader - Power Generation

Leading sustainable waste management and energy generation business in Europe. This client delivers high-quality, cost-effective services in the municipal, industrial and specialist hazardous waste markets.

They offer a Total Waste Management and Waste-to-Energy solutions in Europe and the UK and Ireland.

Their facility in East Anglia processes residual waste and produces electricity to power.

They are looking for a Maintenance Team Leader.

Responsibilities

  • They will be responsible for the execution of all mechanical maintenance activities across all of the process, building and site systems which comprise the facility.
  • They will coordinate and plan all mechanical activities in accordance with the operational requirements in order to drive compliance and ensure high levels of operational availability.
  • This position will also be responsible for the management of a small team of maintenance technicians, ensuring ongoing development and training needs are met.
  • All works are executed in accordance with a Safe System of Work and the protection of people, plant and the environment are at the core of every activity
  • Provide visible leadership in all activities and ensure that all personnel carrying out maintenance activities within the facility are appropriately trained and competent to operate with the Integrated Safe System of Work
  • Maintenance of the facility using best /Industry practices in compliance with all relevant environmental, legal, license and internal norms
  • Proactive delivery of maintenance services to the facility
  • Coordination and execution of all preventive and predictive maintenance activities across the facility
  • Identification of operational improvement projects that simplify, standardise or improve the operability, maintainability and/or compliance of the facility
  • Attention to details and doing things right, first time, every time
  • Always be on the look out for alternative methods of working that make it improves safety, quality and/or efficiency.
  • Be aware the impact of maintenance activities and the way they are executed impact the operational budget for the facility

Responsibilities

  • HNC/HND or with significant experience gained in a maintenance, construction and/or engineering services environment
  • Lower qualifications will be considered when supported by significant directly applicable experience.
  • Proven maintenance experience within a complex operational environment (Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Industrial Process)
  • Minimum 3 years+ of relevant experience, 2 of which should have incorporated leading small workgroups.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided
  • Knowledge and experience of complex integrated plant and equipment commonly found within continuous process industries such as, power generation, cement industry and petrochemicals. Specific Furnace/Boiler and/or rotating equipment experience a distinct advantage
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK as no visa sponsorship will be offered for this position
