Senior Project Manager – Renewable Energy | Scotland

Join a forward-thinking IPP business delivering impactful renewable energy projects across the UK and Europe.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in bringing wind, solar, and energy storage projects to life—from early development through to construction and handover. You’ll take ownership of critical project workstreams, coordinate technical and engineering inputs, manage contractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements.

Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including network operators and contractors, you’ll help navigate grid connections, procurement, and planning conditions while proactively managing risks and driving progress.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in renewable energy or infrastructure project delivery, confident managing complex projects and translating technical detail into practical outcomes. Strong communication, organisation, and a hands-on, solutions-focused mindset are essential.

Based in Scotland, this role offers the chance to contribute to a growing pipeline of clean energy projects while being part of a collaborative, purpose-driven organisation committed to sustainability and long-term impact.

You will need;

We need someone who:

  • Has a degree in Project Management, Engineering, Planning, or a related discipline
  • Brings at least five years’ experience in renewable energy or similar infrastructure environments
  • Has a proven track record delivering projects across wind, solar, grid connections, or energy storage
  • Is experienced in contract negotiation, administration, and performance monitoring
  • Understands grid connection processes and has worked with network operators
  • Has strong stakeholder management experience, including regulators and local communities
  • Understands project finance, commercial drivers, and energy markets
  • Has knowledge of UK consenting processes and construction-related health and safety regulations (e.g. CDM)
  • Is comfortable using tools such as AutoCAD, GIS, or similar technical software
  • Can identify risks and develop practical, innovative solutions
  • Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Can translate technical information into clear commercial insight
  • Takes a proactive, hands-on approach to work
  • Works collaboratively with a positive and professional attitude
  • Communicates clearly and confidently, simplifying complex topics when needed
  • Is results-driven and takes ownership of delivering outcomes
