The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Administrator to take ownership of the company’s business software estate, with a particular focus on the Waste Software platform.
The successful candidate will act as the organisation’s Waste Software Champion, ensuring systems are stable, secure, fully adopted, and delivering maximum value. You’ll manage day-to-day administration, oversee integrations, coordinate upgrades, maintain documentation, and deliver user training across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Software Platform Management

Serve as the company’s Weighsoft Champion and main contact for system queries and configuration.

Manage permissions, data integrity, environment settings, release testing, and system upgrades.

Translate operational requirements into system configuration or small-scale enhancements.
Systems Administration
-
Manage and maintain core business applications (identity/SSO, backups, monitoring, licensing).

Plan and execute patches and upgrades with proper change control and rollback procedures.

Ensure system availability, security, and compliance with internal and external audits.
Integration & Data Management

Lead integrations between Weighsoft and third-party systems (finance, HR, telematics, reporting).

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver API or ETL-based solutions.

Improve data quality and reduce manual entry through automation.
Documentation & Training

Produce and maintain user manuals, SOPs, FAQs, and release documentation.

Design and deliver effective training programmes and “train-the-trainer” initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
Vendor Management

Prepare technical scopes, evaluate options, and support procurement for new solutions.

Build strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure performance and value.
Reporting & Insights

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of ERP/logistics platforms and enterprise application management.

Hands-on experience with Weighsoft or similar waste management software (highly advantageous).

Skilled in systems integration, API design, and change management.

Excellent communication and training delivery across varied teams.

Analytical and process-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

3–5+ years in systems administration, application support, or digital transformation.

ITIL, Prince2, or Agile certification desirable.

Experience in regulated or safety-focused operational environments preferred.
